• Provided iOS full-stack solutions to Otus, a Student Performance Platform that maximizes learning for K-12 students

• Worked on the iOS platform, using Objective-C and XCode as a development environment for an iPad application

  • Consumed and integrated responses and manipulated JSON data into objects, for client-side use

  • Wrote new APIs in PHP using the CodeIgniter framework 

  • Designed backend tables using the MySQLWorkbench DBMS platform and tested queries for API development

• Created and improved several modules on the front-end:

  • Email client for teachers to interact with their students

  • Attendance management system for teachers to efficiently keep track of daily attendance and attendance history

• Main responsibility was writing JavaScript automated test scripts for the company website

• Scripts covered login authentication, registering new accounts, changing username/password, cancellation, creating backup jobs

• Employed Mocha test framework for assertions and expectations; tested over 30 different webpages for various assertions

• Learned PhantomJS for web scraping, browser navigation, event handling and used HTML DOM for UI target action execution

• Applied QUnit test framework to conduct unit tests

• Utilized Selenium IDE to create efficient test scripts to compare with the custom JavaScript tests and verified with QA department

• Integrated these tests onto a continuous integration server 

• Side Project: developed and tested a small-scale web application involving HTML, CSS, and JQuery implementation

• Acquired knowledge about server-side requests by using databases and incorporating them in the web application
   

Undergraduate Research Assistant, IIT

• Examined interference between Wi-Fi and ZigBee wireless networks by measuring effects of Wi-Fi traffic on ZigBee packet integrity 

• Performed data transmission and collection using ZigBee nodes and testing them in Wi-Fi areas

• Varied the distance between nodes and looked at packets-sent to packets-received ratios with and without Wi-Fi interference  

• Utilized Contiki Open Source API as the software on the ZigBee nodes to control the flow of data transmission and collection

• Logged individual trials and various node configurations and the distances between them during conduction of the experiments

• Plotted the results with mathematical modeling and software and provided the National Science Foundation with the findings

• Wrote a concluding report that discussed the theory of the Wi-Fi and ZigBee networks and summarized the results for the National Science Foundation
